Andrew Patey

Company Director (Funeral Operations)

Andrew joined Cambridge Funeral Services in January 1998 having trained with Co-operative Funeral Services where he was a Senior Funeral Director for seven years. He passed his professional examinations in 1992, was awarded the Diploma in Funeral Directing that year and went on to study Funeral Management and Administration at Stanford Hall College.

After managing our Royston branch for five years he returned to the Cambridge office as Funeral Operations Manager and was made a Director of the company in July 2004.

In addition to this role he continues to arrange and conduct funerals for our clients. He is a member of The British Institute of Funeral Directors and serves on the Small Business Panel of The Society of Allied Independent Funeral Directors.

Recognising that every famliy is different and will not want the same type of funeral Andrew trained as a Civil Funeral Celebrant in February 2006 and became a member of the Institute of Civil Funerals. He is therefore also able to officiate at funeral ceremonies where families would prefer not to use a minister of religion.

Ann Claridge

Company Director (Business Services)

Before joining Cambridge Funeral Services in 1994 Ann ran her own company and brought with her a vast amount of experience in the field of business. She studied for and obtained the Diploma in Funeral Directing in 1995, which provided her with valuable additional skills and a broad knowledge of the funeral industry.

Ann's primary role is that of managing the administrative side of the business although as a fully qualified Funeral Director she is always happy to assist our clients with funeral arrangements and answering their questions about what needs to be done at a time of bereavement.

Ann is a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. Along with Andrew, Ann was invited to join the Board and became a director of the company in July 2004.

Robin White

Funeral Co-ordinator

Robin originally joined the company on a part time basis whilst he was also running his own Driving School. He eventually became full time and qualified for the Diploma in Funeral Directing in 1996 and went on to become a member of The British Institute of Funeral Directors.

Robin's primary role is to ensure the smooth running of the workshop. This involves organizing the transferring of deceased persons to the funeral home from both hospitals and private residences and ensuring that all necessary work is carried out before the funeral date.

Robin also liaises with the staff at our Royston branch with whom we have a very close working relationship. He also arranges and
conducts funerals.
